Rick Brackett boasts over two decades of extensive professional experience in naval aviation and shipboard operations, marked by his leadership acumen, administrative management proficiency, adeptness in training, and deftness in diplomatic relations. His illustrious career in the U.S. Navy culminated in a distinguished diplomatic role in Europe, rendering him a valuable asset to Peduzzi Associates Ltd. (PAL) with his broad spectrum of naval expertise.
During his tenure in the U.S. Navy, Rick undertook myriad assignments spanning the nation and overseas. Notably, in the four years leading up to his retirement, he served as the Naval Attaché and Security Assistance Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Finland. In this pivotal capacity, he provided counsel to senior military and civilian policy leaders, significantly contributing to diplomatic relations on behalf of the United States. His instrumental role in negotiating international agreements for the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense showcased his diplomatic finesse. Serving as the principal liaison for the Office
of Defense Cooperation, Rick adeptly coordinated sales, represented U.S. military defense contractors to global clients, and facilitated post-contract support amounting to over $4 billion in contracts. His support spanned from the project planning phase through to successful project completion, offering guidance to both major and minor defense and commercial contractors.
Prior to his diplomatic tenure, Rick held the commanding officer position for the U.S. Navy's largest aviation squadron. Leading a team of over 450 diverse personnel, managing assets exceeding $250 million, he demonstrated exceptional leadership. His tenure witnessed the development of innovative tactics and the implementation of cutting-edge electronic warfare equipment and aviation platforms. These initiatives were pivotal in training surface and aviation units across the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets.
At PAL he continues to manage U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard products and services business development as well as guides our international business development and government services contracts.
Rick possesses a comprehensive and multifaceted background in naval air and shipboard operations. His expertise spans across various domains such as anti-submarine warfare, anti-air warfare, anti-ship warfare, electronic warfare, mine warfare, combat systems operations, and flight instruction. His extensive overseas experiences in both the Orient and Europe complement his diverse skill set, bringing to PAL a nuanced naval perspective enriched by domestic and international exposure in both.
