Major General Garry Dean, USAF (Ret.)
Maj Gen (retired) Garry Dean currently serves as the President of Peduzzi Associates, Ltd. in Alexandria, VA, driving the business development and government relations support for defense related companies to secure business with the US Government, the Department of Defense, and the National Guard in support of Homeland and Global operations. Garry's strength lies in strategic planning, guiding integration of emerging technologies, and building effective relationships for clients to get their capabilities supporting complex homeland and multinational operations.
In addition, he serves as a Senior Advisor to Vita Inclinata in Broomfield Colorado, and as a Commissioner and Vice-Chair of the Community Oversight Board of the Arlington County Police, Virginia.
Garry retired from the USAF and the Oregon ANG in 2015, as the Director of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Joint Staff in the Pentagon.
A graduate of the US Air Force Academy and F-15 Fighter pilot, General Dean had a distinguished career, commanding at every level in the USAF and National Guard at the Squadron, Wing, Numbered Air Force, and State Assistant Adjutant General levels. His career was highlighted by leading a successful combat deployment of the 142nd Fighter Wing, Portland, Oregon to Southwest Asia. He later served as the State Director of Operations, Commander of 1st Air Force/AFNORTH Tyndall AFB, Florida, and Continental US NORAD Region responsible for the 24/7 Air Defense, USAF Disaster Response, and the Missile Defense of the Continental US.
After his military retirement Garry resumed his civilian career as a Delta Airlines International Captain of B757/767 aircraft until electing early retirement in 2020.
Maj Gen Dean is originally from El Paso, Texas where he grew up as an Army CW5 dependent at Ft Bliss Tx. He and his family currently reside in Arlington, VA.
